NEUROTOXINS

Med Spa Plymouth MA, Medical Spa Massachusetts
THE MOST POPULAR COSMETIC INJECTABLES IN THE WORLD

Wrinkles and fine lines are bound to appear eventually, even with the best of skincare regimens. That’s why FDA-approved neuromodulators such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin have become the most popular cosmetic injectables in the world. At Glow Med Spa, our highly trained Cosmetic Nurse Injectors pride ourselves in giving you that natural youthful and rested glow.

What do neurotoxins treat?

This simple and pain-free procedure treats etched in lines and creases in the forehead, between brows, crows feet, lipstick lines, bunny lines on the nose, pebble chin, and vertical neckbands.

They can also be used for excessive sweating in the hands and armpits, enlarged pores, jaw clenching, downturned corners of the mouth, and flat eyebrows.

What are Botox, Dysport, Jeuveneau & Xeomin?

These four neuromodulators are an injectable form of Botulinum Toxin Type A and FDA approved to reduce muscle movement. Though they are all derived from the same bacteria, clostridium botulinum, they all work differently.

Botox is the most popular neuromodulator on the market today. It is known for its precision and longevity.

Xeomin does not have any preservative protein which allows it to bind to the muscle immediately and produce faster results. It also does not contain any additives, reducing the rare situation that the body develops antibodies to the product, causing it to be ineffective.

Dysport is very similar to Botox in its creation. The main difference between the two is that Dysport has smaller portent molecules and is a more diluted formulation.

Jeuveneau is a prescription injectable that is injected into muscles and used in adults for a short period of time (temporary) to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows.

What should I expect at my visit and after my visit?

There is no recovery time for Botox. Appointments take 15 minutes and can be booked on your lunch break! However we do ask, for a period of 24 to 48 hours, you avoid exercise that causes you to sweat, saunas, sun exposure, excessive heat, and any pressure applied to the treated area. Immediately after your injections, you will notice small red bumps in the injected area. These bumps will fade rather quickly, approximately 20 to 60 minutes. You will start to see the effects of Botox in 5 to 7 days, with full effect on Day 14. If you are planning on getting Botox for that special event, our injectors suggest that you book an appointment with them 3 weeks prior to the event to achieve the best results.
